Oldsmobile Car Club

The National Antique Oldsmobile Club, founded in 1981, has a National Meet annually which has been held all across our nation. The primary goal of the club, is the preservation, restoration and public appreciation of one of our nations earliest automotive manufacturers. In 2015 the Peoria area was selected for their meet. Approximately 125 Oldsmobile’s from every decade back to 1900 and 250 owners, friends and family. The Oldsmobile’s were trailered and driven to this meet. For example, a 1936 Olds was driven from Virginia, and a 1953 Fiesta was driven from Florida. Thirty states were represented. In addition to a national competition show, they toured our museums and private vehicle collections and historical homes like the  Soderstrom Castle. This four day event was hosted by Phil Fischer, a Metamora resident who is the NAOC club historian and a director.
