Every summer after the Miss Illinois Scholarship Pageant, the Queen and her court and local beauty queens are featured at the Soderstrom Castle for a day of professional photoshoots with the photos going to their career portfolio. Photographers are world famous and experienced Vicki Taufer and Natalie Jackson.

Dr. Soderstrom supports the educational scholarship helping the Miss Illinois candidate and winners with their collegiate experiences and scholarships and college costs. Miss Illinois often became spokesperson for private labelled beauty products used for patients at the Skin Dimensions Day Spa and Soderstrom Dermatology Center.
Each year, the Soderstrom Castle celebrates Halloween, welcoming children and adults alike for a night of fun.
After the Miss Illinois Scholarship Pageant, the Queen, her court, and local queens receive a photography day.
The Gentlemen’s Cigar Society of Central Illinois met at the Castle for an evening of fun.
