Gentlemen’s Cigar Society of Peoria met at the Castle on Thursday, June 15th . The group enjoyed an evening of cigars, drinks, delicious food catered by the Midway Duck Inn, music by Barry Cloyd and delightful service by staff.

The Castle welcomed the Dental Society of Peoria for a fun filled night of bourbon and martini tasting.  There was a delicious spread of food catered by Connie Randall of Matter of Taste that was enjoyed by all.

Ghost Busters!

Mrs. Gebbink hosted an elegant piano recital for her 30 students.  The students performed on the Castle’s Steinway.  Not only does she teach piano, but she teaches life lessons too – timeliness, professional dress, demeanor, manners, and politeness.  Everyone enjoyed ice cream and cake in celebration. Alex Soderstrom played three songs and represented a very proud mother, father, and family. 

SEPTEMBER, 2022

The Peoria Symphony was welcomed at the Carl Soderstrom car collection in Morton.  The Executive Director, Anthony Marotta and Maestro George Stelluto hosted. The theme was Gatsby and VIP members were driven about the grounds in vintage Rolls Royce and classic cars before a heavy Hors D’oeuvres and cocktail party expertly presented by Connie Randall of Matter of Taste. 

AUGUST, 2022

Never before had the Central Illinois Cigar Society been joined with a special appearance by Miss Illinois Monica Jones, Miss Outstanding Illinois Teen, Mia Fritsch Anderson.  The group of over 100 enjoyed a splendid autumn evening with a special appearance of the “James Bond Phantom II” Rolls Royce, a 2022 trophy winner a week earlier at the Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance.  

AUGUST, 2022

Every summer after the Miss Illinois Scholarship Pageant the Queen and her court and local beauty queens are featured at the Soderstrom Castle for a day of professional photo shoots with the photos going to their career portfolio.  Photographers are world famous and experienced Vicki Taufer and Natalie Jackson.  Dr Soderstrom supports the educational scholarship helping the Miss Illinois candidate and winners with their collegiate experiences and scholarships and college costs.

JUNE, 2022

The Illinois Cigar Society met at the Soderstrom Castle on June 15, 2022, for cigars, whiskey and delicious food provided by Connie Randall from Matter of Taste.  Spa services were provided by Jeanine Proksch owner FaceTyme with Jeanine along with Amber Walker.  The cigars were delightful, long lasting and the comradery was outstanding – all of which lasted late into the evening.

Congratulations to Jake & Kenedi Hoerr. A 1922 Phantom 1 Rolls Royce carried the bride & groom from the church to the Soderstrom Castle on Grandview Drive. Special moments were captured at the Castle by photographer, Amy Mulder.
